Akai S1000 Sampler 24mb RAM OS v4.4
Powers up, screen bright, backlight working. 24mb memory for extended sample time. AES/EBU digital board.
No audio testing performed but from Dex Wright collection - he owned and used many upgraded Akai samplers in excellent order - so expected to be working well. No warranty implied.
A little scruffy but overall very good - please note it is missing one control knob (some photos show it present but it has not been found).
Late 1980s. The S1000 was widely used in professional studios and became popular due to its excellent sound quality and versatile sampling capabilities.
